Description

Burrs on worn chainrings and shifting under too much pressure are the two main causes of 'chain suck'. This is when the chain fails to come away from the chainring (at the 6 o'clock position) and gets carried up and jams between the chainring and frame. Keep a close eye on the wear of teeth on the chainring to prevent this.
